4th grade teacher Mrs. Kim Ronnebaum is Rotary Teacher of the Year

Mr. Lunsford brought the whole school together earlier this month announce our 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫: 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐊𝐢𝐦 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐮𝐦. As Mr. Lunsford annouced this honor, Mrs. Ronnebaum's daughters, son-in-law, and parents came out to congratulate her for this honor as the whole school cheered. While it was a surprise to Mrs. Ronnebaum to hear the announcement, it was NOT a surprise to everyone else, as all of the students and staff agreed that she is incredibly hard-working, dedicated to our school's mission, cares so much for her students, and is a wonderful co-worker.

Mrs. Ronnebaum has been teaching for 27 years, all of them at ACES/SBCS. During her time, she has taught a few different grades, but is currently teaching 4th grade and has taught that grade the longest. All of our students remember the fun projects and activities in Mrs. Ronnebaum's class, such as the saint and state reports and beginning-of-the-year mystery that ended with root beer floats. They also remember the fun touches that Mrs. Ronnebaum had in her class, from her classroom theme, the scented stickers if they got a good grade on their spelling tests, and the fuzzy socks Mrs. Ronnebaum gave them and how their Christmas desks were wrapped up like presents during Advent. In addition to all of these fun things, though, Mrs. Ronnebaum has done an amazing job of pushing our students and encouraging them to do their best: Mrs. Ronnebaum teaches students some difficult concepts in math, encouragesthem to read challenging books, and has helped students raise their state test scores.

Without a doubt, Mrs. Ronnebaum is deserving of the Rotary Teacher of the Year award. Congratulations, Mrs. Ronnebaum! You truly are a great example of #faithinaction and how to #lovelearnlead for us all!
